In the beginning, I wasn’t active on any social media platforms. To be frank, I didn’t know how to use them or what purpose they served. I had an account only because all my friends were connected there. I never posted any updates myself. Sometimes, my friends would tag me in photos—that’s the only way I used social media.
I didn’t feel the need to show everything about my life on social media. But later, I had an idea—why not share stories through social media? That’s when I started paying attention to how these platforms work. Once I understood the details, I decided to start using social media with a clear purpose.
Today, social media has become more of a show-off platform. Sometimes, it even feels toxic—open any platform, and you’ll see inappropriate or vulgar content, especially photos that don’t add value. But at the end of the day, what you see depends on what you follow. Social media gives back what you choose to engage with—it’s all about what you want to find and focus on.
